The two women who were allegedly charged with assassinating the half-brother of DPRK leader Kim Jong Un will resume in January instead of this month after a defense lawyer fell ill. Another lawyer who’s on the defense team for Doan Thi Huong, one of the suspects, said that he was confident the defense will be able to establish her innocence, and that “local and foreign” witnesses will be called on to testify on her behalf. Earlier in August, a High Court judge found there was enough evidence to infer that Indonesian Siti Aisyah and Vietnamese Doan Thi Huong, along with four missing DPRK suspects, had engaged in a “well-planned conspiracy” to kill Kim Jong Nam, by smearing nerve agent VX on his face at Kuala Lumpur airport.
