At the launch event of the book ‘Veer Savarkar: The Man Who Could Have Prevented Partition’, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the same thing as Ranjit and described Savarkar as an “icon of Indian history”. Several historians are also coming out with such facts and the original letter that Mahatma Gandhi had written to Savarkar.
