The ongoing 2021 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) in Beijing offered a precious opportunity and platform to deepen cooperation between Ireland and China, said Ann Derwin, Irish Ambassador to China. During an interview, Derwin said that the service trade fair is the first large-scale event she has participated in since she took over as the ambassador this year. At the same time, Ireland is participating as the guest of honor, which makes her very excited. Last year, thanks to the rapid development of cross-border e-commerce, the total value of agricultural products exported from Ireland to China surpassed one billion U.S. dollars. She said more Chinese companies are welcome to invest in Ireland.
