Govt to review if cyclists must ride in single file on roads, limits on cycling group sizes

Getting cyclists to ride in a single file on roads and capping group sizes — these are among stronger safety rules and stiffer penalties under review as more bike riders take to the roads in Singapore. Meanwhile, the Land Transport Authority plans to roll out a revamped safe riding programme in the next few months. The current version has been in place since 2018. It’s a free and voluntary programme comprising a guidebook and a hands-on theory and practical session.
