Depression, anxiety among children in the Philippines as lockdowns continue

Children in the Philippines are suffering increasing levels of depression and anxiety as a result of reduced learning and development after a year of school lockdowns and COVID restrictions.
For more than a year now, children have been stuck at home, parents say they are concerned about their emotional and mental welfare.
Nearly four million students were unable to enrol for the current school year, and more than half of the children now out of school come from impoverished communities
