French President Emmanuel Macron was on Thursday visiting the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris on the second anniversary of a blaze that nearly razed the famous landmark. As FRANCE 24 reporter Claire Paccalin reports from the scene, the president still hopes to meet his April 2024 deadline to reopen the building, despite the restoration works yet to begin in earnest.
