The China-EU market has been in the fast lane in recent years, with China becoming the largest trading partner of the European Union. The two sides have signed the Comprehensive Agreement on Investment, a wide-ranging deal to boost economic cooperation. But a recent decision made by the EU to impose sanctions on Chinese officials over Xinjiang has cast a shadow on bilateral trade. CGTN’s Tian Wei spoke to Joerg Wuttke, president of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. He said despite lingering uncertainties, China is still an important market that few European companies would walk away from.
