Construction firms will have a further six months of reprieve from legal and enforcement action for their building and supply contracts. It’s to help prevent knock-on effects like delays or non-completion. Amendments to the law were passed in Parliament on April 5, allowing the relief period to be extended until end-September. The original relief period expired on March 31. The relief period for options to purchase, as well as sale and purchase agreements with developers, will also be extended for an additional three months until June 30.
