Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa's daughter tests positive for COVID-19

India’s coronavirus count crossed 18 lakh-mark after the country reported a single-day spike of 52,972 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours. According to the data by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the death toll has increased to 38,135 in the country with 771 more persons succumbing to the viral infection in the last 24 hours.
Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa tested positive for COVID-19. He is being monitored by a team of doctors in Manipal hospital. The doctors have stated that his condition is stable.
In the latest development, his daughter has also been tested positive while his son has been quarantined.
