Share the News

The first batch of the Rafale fighter aircraft finally landed at the Ambala air base in Haryana on Wednesday to join the Indian Air Force. The first Rafale jet was handed over to the IAF in October last year during Rajnath Singh’s visit to France. While the first squadron of the Rafale jets will be stationed at Ambala air base, the second one will be based at Hasimara air base in West Bengal.

Out of the total 36 Rafale jets, 30 will be combat jets and six will be trainers. The trainer jets will be twin-seater and they will have almost all the features of the combat jets. In this episode of Battle Cry, we explain what goes into getting these jets ready for battle.
