Covid-19 News: Actor Amitabh Bachchan has been discharged from Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital, where he was being treated for COVID-19, after a 23-day stay on Sunday. The 77-year-old actor announced on July 11 that he had tested positive for the virus and was in hospital – his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, announced soon after that he had tested positive as well and was also in the same hospital. Big B is now in solitary quarantine at his home – Jalsa – whereas Abhishek is still in the hospital for COVID-19 treatment. In his latest tweet, Amitabh Bachchan wrote: “I have tested COVID-19 negative, have been discharged. I am back home in solitary quarantine. Grace of the almighty, blessings of Ma, Babuji, prayers and duas of near and dear and friends, fans EF… and the excellent care and nursing at Nanavati made it possible for me to see this day.”
