Federal, state and territory governments agreed this week to a historic overhauling of the Closing the Gap targets, first laid out by the Rudd Government in 2008

Indigenous leaders say the deal was hard-fought, but Prime Minister Scott Morrison says he’s confident the new targets will deliver generational change.

Former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd joined Patricia Karvelas on Afternoon Briefing to discuss the new targets.
