The EU’s Chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier has said there’s a real risk a trade deal cannot be agreed with the UK by the end of the year.

Speaking after the latest round of negotiations in London, Mr Barnier said the two sides were “still far away,” with a major sticking point being access of EU fishing boats to British waters.

The UK government confirmed there was a “considerable” divide with Brussels but said they were committed to more talks through August and September.
