Ethiopia is set to start filling Africa’s largest hydroelectric dam despite the lack of a deal with downstream countries Sudan and Egypt.
Many rounds of talks have failed to reach a water-sharing deal, or placate concerns about what the dam will do to supplies far away.
Analysts agree that the mismanagement of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam will affect the irrigation of farmland in Sudan.
