Kerala Gold Scandal: Passport of third accused Faizal Fareed cancelled by MEA

The passport of the third accused in the Kerala gold smuggling case has Faizal Fareed has been cancelled by the Ministry of External Affairs. The passport was cancelled following the request of the customs department. Faizal Fareed can no more stay in UAE.

The Chief Secretary in the state has also submitted the inquiry report about the mismanagement in the IT department in connection with senior bureaucrats with the accused in the Kerala gold smuggling case. The action is likely to be announced by the Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan.

His passport was cancelled after the request filed by the Customs department as he is the third accused and he handed over the 30 kilograms of gold on June 30.
