How flood-affected people in Morigaon district of Assam are posted for shelters? | Ground Report

There seems to be no end to the miseries of the flood-affected people in Assam. Thousands of people who fled their villages when flash floods created havoc are now taking shelter on higher grounds, roads and bridges. While over 36 thousand people are taking shelter in relief camps set up by respective district administration, thousands of other flood victim are taking shelter in temporary sheds set up by them. They are coexisting with cattle and poultry in this shed and are now spending pathetic time. They have no idea when flood waters will recede and they will be able to go back to their villages.
