OSH Rajesh Bhushan briefs country on COVID-19 situation; WHO says 'worst is yet to come'

Rajesh Bhushan, OSD, Health Ministry says “In India, the COVID 19 cases per million is 657. You will see and observe that India is one of those countries which has the least number of COVID positive cases per million. COVID cases are increasing by 7-14 percent more in other countries as compared to India. If you see COVID deaths per million population, then also in India deaths are 17.2 percent per million population. There is a decline in the growth rate of COVID 19. If we see the rate in March, the speed at which COVID cases were increasing was 31%. However, by May it came down to 9% and by May end it came down to approximately 5%.”
