India's undernourished figure declines; figure down to 14% as per United Nations

A report released by the United Nations that was published says that India’s undernourished figure has declined by 60 million and it now lies at 14 percent. It is said that it was previously at 21 percent in 2004-2006 and has now come down to 14 percent in 2017-2019. The figures act as encouraging and this is the state of food security and nutrition in the world. It is also considered as the most authoritative global study tracking progress towards ending hunger and malnutrition. The prevalence of undernourishment in the total population of India has declined from 21.17 percent, whereas in the year 2004-2006 to 14 percent.
