Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel 'largest' COVID care centre with 10,000 beds | All you need to know

Times Now visits the largest covid facility in the world.
IT BP run Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel hospital in Chattarpur has 10000 beds and more than 1000 doctors, nurses and paramedical staff. It is said to one of the largest COVID isolation centre plus hospital of its kind in the world.
“It was IT BP only who were deployed at the onset of COVID-19 and there experience in dealing with the situation with very less knowledge at the start helped them to come up with this facility”, says one of the doctors at the facility.
The facility has 10000 beds with 10% of the beds having an attached oxygen machine so that patients with breathing problem can use them.
Each bed is placed at a distance from each other including a seperate dustbin and drinking water facility with each bed. The entire place has 12 quaters in total.
Not only this, since it’s a huge facility and it can accommodate 10000 patients at a time, there is a leisure activity base that has been prepared for people. There is a library set up, badminton rackets and cricket bats arranged for people to have a recreational time.
The facility was inaugurated by LG Anil Baijal in the morning and it has already started receiving it’s patients.
The facility will have patients with mild Symptoms or asymptomatic patients who cannot afford an isolation facility on their own. Know more.
