Heavy rainfall continues in southwest China’s Yunnan Province. Around 30,000 people have been affected in the provincial capital Kunming City. In Kunming’s Yiliang County, one policeman used his voice to save the day. Just minutes before 5 a.m. on Tuesday, 29-year-old policeman Xu Shixiong saw a nearby river overflowing, which prompted him to act at once to warn people around of possible flooding. He drove a police car and shouted loudly with colleagues to wake people up. Their move eventually saved many lives in the county.
