After 103 days since the lockdown, the iconic Indian Coffee House of Kolkata has reopened. Integral to Kolkata’s heritage, this cafe joint has been the hub of artists, poets, authors for their intellectual stimulus. Bengali’s are known for their adda sessions, they can be over any subject starting from politics to sports to films. The famous Kolkata coffee house as been a melting pot of such passionate discussions for generations. Situated at college street, it’s frequented mostly by students but the place is favourite of all generations. Never before since 1958 has the coffee house remained shut for this long. Safety protocols have been incorporated, sitting capacity has been reduced. People are happy to be back at their favourite joint. Amidst the growing number of fancy cafes across the city, The Coffee House is still an emotion to the people, the charm hasn’t been robbed by COVID-19. Times Now’s Tamal Shah with details!
