Thoothukudi custodial death case: Accused ADSP & DSP police given new posting in less than 24 hours

The developments of the Thootukudi custodial death case have sparked nationwide outrage, however, despite that the Tamil Nadu government has made the decision to transfer two police officers with high ranks linked to the case. D Kumar, Additional Superintendent of Police (ADSP) and C Prathaban, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) have been given new postings as the ADSP, Prohibition Enforcement Wing in the Nilgiris and as DSP in Sathkulam subdivision of the Thoothukudi district. The Tuticorin custodial death case has brought to the forefront police brutality with the Madras High Court ordering the registration of an FIR against the accused cops.
