Cybersecurity spending gets $1.35bn boost in wake of online attacks against Australia | ABC News

A billion dollars is being spent bolstering the number of cyber spies to protect Australia against the increasing threat of cyber espionage.

The announcement comes just 10 days after the Prime Minister revealed a “sophisticated state-based actor” was behind a sustained series of attacks.

As political editor Andrew Probyn explains, it’s part of a major re-orientation of Australia’s defence strategy to be revealed tomorrow.
