On Latitude with Maroof Raza, we discuss the violent clashes between the Indian Armed forces and China’s People’s Liberation Army at the Galwan valley in eastern Ladakh where 20 Indian soldiers were martyred. This faceoff happened because of the infrastructure building in the eastern Ladakh area.
On the panel today we have Ambassador Phunchok Stobdan hails from Ladakh and is very well known for his book ‘The Great Game in the Buddhist Himalayas: India and China’s Quest for Strategic Dominance.’ Lieutenant General PJS Pannu who has served in the military as a General officer and more specifically has commanded 14 core facing the Chinese plight from the start of the LAC in the Ladakh area up to the Siachen glacier.
