An Alaska National Guard helicopter lifts Fairbanks Bus 142, made famous by the book and film “Into the Wild,” from a remote trail outside Denali National Park, near Healy, Alaska.

The bus is being removed for public safety concerns, after the remote and dangerous site had become a tourist attraction.

The bus will be put into storage until a permanent site is found, says the Alaska Department of Natural Resources.
