'White Lives Matter' banner unfurled at Paris anti-racism demo

Counter-protesters unfurled a ‘White Lives Matter’ banner from a Paris rooftop as thousands gathered for an anti-racism demonstration in the square below on Saturday.

Demonstrators on the street booed as the banner, which read “Justice for the victims of anti-white racism: #WhiteLivesMatters,” was revealed, while residents in the building began tearing it apart from their balconies.

People jumped atop the ‘Statue de la Republique’ monument holding flares and banners reading messages such as: “As long as we won’t have justice, you won’t have peace,” referring to the victims of police brutality.

The protest was called by the “Justice for Adama” and “Black Lives Matter” movements.
