Attack on Dalits in Jaunpur: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath says, 'Invoke NSA against accused'

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has cracked the whip and ordered invoked NSA against perpetrators who set fire to the Dalit houses in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. The incident where a dozen of Dalit houses were set on fire by a mob. This started with a small issue between groups belonging to youngsters from two communities. It snowboarded into a bigger controversy and a fight bore out between the villagers of Jaunpur and one group set fire to the 12 Dalit houses.
CM Yogi Adityanath has taken note of this incident and ordered strict action against the people who are responsible for this. Invocation of NSA and gangster act against all accused. About 35 people have already been apprehended. The Chief Minister has also asked to compensate for these Dalit families not just from the Chief Minister’s relief fund but also through other funds and budgets from the Social Welfare Department.
