The Education Minister Dan Tehan says free childcare will end next month, as the scheme put in place amidst the coronavirus pandemic has done its job.

The scheme was introduced in April, and was due to run for three months. It’ll now end on the 12th of July, when childcare workers will be kicked off the JobKeeper wage subsidy scheme.

Dan Tehan says the Government will now support centres instead of customers, to keep businesses afloat.
