The coronavirus pandemic sweeps across the globe virtually unchecked with six to seven million confirmed infections. The World Health Organization held its first media briefing Monday on the pandemic since U.S. President Donald Trump announced the U.S. would end funding and cut ties with the organization. U.S. officials emphasized the need for testing, social distancing and face covering, amid the easing of restrictions, and large protests against police brutality across the nation. Will the on-going protests lead to a spike in infections in the U.S.? Despite being the biggest economy in the world, why does the U.S. have the highest mortality rate?
