Thousands gather in Hong Kong vigils to celebrate 1989 Tiananmen square protests

Lawmakers in Hong Kong have approved a controversial bill making a crime to say anything negative on the Chinese national Anthem. The vote comes as Hong Kong marks the 31st anniversary of the 1989 Tiananmen square repression, but authorities in the semi-autonomous territory have forbidden gatherings.
