In the U.S., nationwide protests continue over the death of unarmed black man George Floyd who was killed in Minneapolis.

The now-fired police officer who knelt on Floyd’s neck, Derek Chauvin, has been charged with a more serious count of second-degree murder. And the three other officers on the scene were charged with aiding and abetting murder.

Former U.S. President Barack Obama spoke out on Wednesday about the killing of Floyd, saying the tragedy has offered an opportunity for people to work together and tackle issues.
