MHA issues fresh guidelines for entry of people from abroad amid COVID-19 pandemic

As India, begins to unlock, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued revised guidelines for the entry of four categories of foreigners from abroad to India. These include foreign businessmen on a business visa, foreign healthcare officials, foreign engineering specialists and foreign technical specialists on invitation from Indian business entities located in India. The development comes as India begins to relax many curbs which had been imposed during the lockdown in the country. Currently, International travel continues to remain banned in India, however, the move marks India’s shift to normalcy amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
