Hong Kong SAR lawmakers have resumed a debate over a bill that could criminalize disrespect of the Chinese national anthem. Supporters said the anthem is a symbol of the country and should be respected. But opponents worried the law could hamper their freedom of expression. The bill passed the second reading debate on May 27 and the final decision is expected on Thursday.
