Mining billionaire Clive Palmer is claiming victory after a mammoth civial trial over the collapse of his north Queensland nickel refiinery in 2016.

The Supreme Court ruled Mr Palmer won’t have to repay $100 million his flagship company received from Queensland Nickel before its collapse.

But the judge found the refinery was insolvent before administrators were called in.
