13 Indian cities accounting for 70% of the total COVID-19 cases in the country

13 cities in India have become the central focus of the government in the fight to curb the spread of Coronavirus as they account for almost 70% of the country’s total tally. Mumbai, is the worst affected city in terms of total caseload, followed by Thane and Pune. Maharashtra remains the worst affected state with the highest number of COVID-19 cases. Delhi has also been reporting over 1000 cases per day from the last few days. Ahemdabad in Gujarat continues to remain a hotspot while Hyderabad, Telangana is witnessing a sudden surge. Kolkata and Indore are also high on the risk radar and will remain in the key focus areas. The nation’s recovery rate has also seen improvement as near the end of lockdown 4.0.
