Contract labourer dies in COVID-19 isolation ward in Kota; Family claims medical staff negligence

An extremely unfortunate incident led to the death of a man in a COVID-19 isolation ward in Kota, Rajasthan. The man’s death was recorded on camera by another patient in the same ward on his mobile camera. The victim’s family have alleged that the death was the result of negligence by the nursing staff at the Kota Medical College. The deceased was a contract labourer, admitted to the hospital after he tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. More details regarding the cause of death are awaited however, the man had an existing Asthma condition. Initial updates are that he was not treated for the disease and died of suffocation.
