Karnataka has issued a fresh standard operating procedure (SOP) for travel amid the Coronavirus pandemic for Centre, State and government officials. All three categories of persons will be required to observe a home quarantine period of 14 days mandatorily in case they travel to Karnataka. Apart from this, the state is also looking to impose a ban on the incoming passenger in domestic flights from heavily COVID-19 states of Maharastra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Earlier, the former Chief Minister of the state, D. V. Sadananda Gowda had said that as a government employee he should be allowed to skip the quarantine.
