A ceasefire between Afghan forces and the Taliban has ended, with reports of renewed fighting on Wednesday morning. The end of the three-day ceasefire on Tuesday night came after hundreds of Taliban prisoners were released as part of a US deal with the insurgent group. The ceasefire was announced by the Taliban for the Eid celebrations at the end of Ramadan.
