Chinese vice premier in Jilin to supervise epidemic prevention and control work

The Chinese mainland has reported five new coronavirus cases, three of them local transmissions in the northeastern city of Jilin. Local officials have ordered all private clinics closed. Vice Premier Sun Chunlan is there to monitor the response. She emphasized the importance of preventing any new cluster outbreaks. Those found with a fever are being sent to designated hospitals for treatment. Jilin City is now under a partial lockdown, with restrictions on bus and train services.
