CDC director: deaths could hit 100,000 in the U.S. by June 1

U.S. CDC Director Robert Redfield says coronavirus deaths in the country are projected to exceed 100,000 by June 1. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a new effort to accelerate the development of a vaccine. It’s called “Operation Warp Speed” – a partnership between private and public sectors.
