In the early weeks of India’s coronavirus lockdown, unfounded rumours circulated on social media that pets spread the disease. Now the streets of New Delhi are over-run with hungry dogs and farm animals, leading people like “dog mother” Sonya Ghosh to dig into their own pockets to keep them fed.
