Chennai’s Koyambedu Vegetable Market has emerged as a super spreader after 2,600 people with links to the market have tested positive for coronavirus in Tamilnadu. Though the state’s COVID tally has crossed 9,000 with Chennai alone accounting for more than 5000 cases, Relief Commisioner Dr J Radhakrishnan, who is also the Special Nodal Officer for Chennai, says there is no reason for panic as the mortality rate in the state is 0.67%. He also tells NDTV about a shift in containment strategy.
