After UP, Delhi Seals Off 20 COVID-19 Hotspots; Mumbai's NSCI Dome Turns Into Quarantine Facility

After Uttar Pradesh, Delhi becomes the second state seal twenty hotspots with immediate effect. “No person will be permitted inside these localities or will be allowed to leave them,” said deputy CM Sisodia. Govt to ensure delivery of essential items in areas that have been sealed to combat COVID-19 spread, added deputy Chief Minister. The decision was taken at an emergency meeting held at the CM Arvind Kejriwal’s residence, which was attended by health minister Satyendra Jain and Manish Sisodia.
The state has reported 576 cases of coronavirus — including nine people who died and 21 who recovered.

Meanwhile, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to convert the National Sports Club of India’s dome into a quarantine facility.

The preparations have already begun to turn the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium — which has hosted innumerable sporting events, including the Pro Kabaddi League and the NBA India games — into quarantine zone, which can accommodate around 400-500 patients.
