UN urges global solidarity in responding to COVID – 19

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today launched a new report:
Shared responsibility, global solidarity: Responding to the socio-economic impacts of COVID-19. along with a
new multi-partner Trust Fund for to support low-and middle-income countries in coping with the coronavirus. The report shows that a coordinated approach is the best way to “recover better” and that it starts now with the responding to COVID-19. The United Nations has a global plan demonstrating leadership and preparedness to accompany countries every step of the way. The Secretary-General and the United Nations are promoting inclusive response measures and accompanying countries to ensure that households and people are not left behind as businesses and economies are supported.
