Migrant Workers Forced To Walk Hundreds Of Kilometres Amid Lockdown

Factory workers and daily wagers in Uttar Pradesh have no option but to walk to their villages and homes. After getting no help from the factory owners post the announcement of lockdown, a group of migrant workers, decided to walk to their respective homes and villages. NDTV’s Alok Pandey talked to some of them regarding the current situation. Many have even decided to walk as much as 600 km on foot. On the go since five days, these factory workers were today fed by the Lucknow Police as they reached the city. However, they still have no option for transportation to reach their destinations.
