The NRL has followed the AFL in suspending its season after two rounds due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The league tried to hold on for as long as possible, but the closure of Queenland’s borders and the spread of COVID-19 has forced the NRL’s hand into a suspension of the 2020 season.
Australian Rugby League Commission chairman Peter V’Landys confirmed the news at a press conference this evening.
