The Manhattan skyline has long been one of New York City’s key attractions, but now there’s an observation deck towering higher than the others.
At 105 storeys, the new “Edge” deck is said to be the highest in the western hemisphere, bringing delight – and vertigo – to visitors young and old.
👉 At 1,100 feet (335 meters) above the busy streets of the West Side of Manhattan, it’s said to be the highest such view in North America.
The view from the “Edge” takes in skyline highlights like the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, One World Trade Center, and the Hudson River.
March is the Edge’s first month of operation, and as the coronavirus pandemic and new US travel restrictions disrupt tourism, it’s hardly an opportune time.
The team at the Edge are doing what they can to minimize risks to visitors and employees, and are limiting crowds. (AP)
