Parliament has marked International Women’s Day by hearing its first read-through of the long-awaited domestic abuse bill, that was previously delayed when Boris Johnson prorogued parliament last year.
The legislation has been broadly welcomed by women’s rights campaigners and MPs alike.

Sky’s Sophy Ridge has been talking to her about her story.
