S. Korea proposes nearly 12 trillion won budget aimed at virus control

South Korea has proposed an extra budget of nearly 12 trillion won (almost 10 billion U.S. dollars) for coronavirus control and economic support. The budget, to be submitted to the National Assembly for approval on Thursday, is the country’s largest supplementary spending bill to handle fallouts from a contagious disease. South Korea has reported 516 new cases today, bring the total coronavirus cases to 5,328.
