As more cases of coronavirus get detected in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today tweeted that he has had an extensive review with a number of ministries and state governments. He also urged citizens not to panic. A private school in Noida near Delhi has cancelled internal exams for high school students after the parent of a child who studies there was tested positive for the virus. The man, a 45-year-old resident of east Delhi, is the first person in the capital who has been tested positive for the virus. An emergency meeting was held in Bengaluru’s Vidhana Soudha after a man tested positive in Hyderabad for coronavirus. The young man had first landed in Bengaluru from Dubai, had stayed and worked there for a day, before travelling by bus to Hyderabad. The minister in-charge listed the number of people he encountered and now need to be under watch for 28 days. The latest number of confirmed cases has crossed 91,000. Of those, 80,000 of them are in China, out of which 67,000 in and around the epicentre Wuhan. But while the rate of new cases has been falling in China for about 2 weeks, it’s rising in other countries like South Korea, Italy and Iran.
